National Protective Services are always on the look out for exemplary people to assist us securing the lives of our many customers.

On an ongoing basis we recruit both internally and externally to select the best people for positions. When recruiting staff, we use Competency and Behavioural Based Interviewing which entails identifying the key competencies required to successfully perform the role. This methodology ensures consistency and accuracy in assessments and increases the reliability of the selection process.

What will my assessment consist of?
Our selection process involves up to three stages, depending on the position you are applying for. Stage one includes the application form. Once your application is received it is reviewed by the HR Department and the corresponding manager for that position. All applications are treated confidentially.

The Interview
The interview is about you and your experience. It is a time to introduce yourself to your prospective manager and an opportunity to further explore the position and the environment you will be working in.

National Protective Services use Competency and Behavioural Based Interviewing when recruiting staff. By identifying the key competencies required to successfully perform the role, and thinking about when you have demonstrated the competencies in either your current or previous roles, you will be able to thoroughly prepare for your interview.

Summing up
Prospective employees should carefully think about why you want the position and what skills would be required for the role. Concentrate on what you do well and what you need to improve. Our aim is to assess you fairly and give you the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential – and to assess whether National Protective Services is right for you.
