Application Process

Our Recruitment Process

We’re clear about what’s involved, why each step matters, and what you can expect if you apply to work with us.

Not every role requires every step outlined below, but all applications follow the same structured process to ensure fairness, compliance, and suitability for the work we do.

Step 1: Application Review

When you submit your application, we review it against the requirements of the role. This includes your experience, licences, qualifications, and availability.

If your application meets the initial criteria, we’ll progress you to the next stage.

Step 2: Recruitment Screening Interview

If you’re shortlisted, we’ll invite you to a screening interview. We’ll send you a scheduling link so you can choose a time that works. This stage focuses on understanding your background, confirming key details, and discussing the nature of the role and working arrangements.

Step 3: Operational Interview

If you progress, you’ll be invited to a second interview with our Operations team. This interview is more role-specific and focuses on how you approach security work in real situations.

We look at decision-making, communication, judgement, and your ability to work within established procedures and client environments.

Step 4: Pre-Employment Checks

Security roles require a high level of trust and compliance. Depending on the role and client requirements, you may be asked to complete a range of pre-employment checks. These may include:

  • Verification of licences and qualifications
  • Identity checks
  • Criminal history checks
  • Working With Children Check, where required
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Medical or fitness assessments
  • Psychometric or aptitude assessments

We’ll explain which checks apply to your role and guide you through the process.

Step 5: Offer, Contracts, and Induction

If you’re successful, we’ll issue a formal offer of employment or engagement. You’ll receive an induction pack outlining key information, policies, and expectations, along with your contract documentation.

Before commencing, we ensure you’re familiar with NPS procedures, reporting requirements, and site-specific expectations so you’re prepared to start confidently and safely.
