We’re very proud to announce the appointment of Trent Gillies to our team. He has spent over 20 years in the aviation and transport industries.
More recently, Trent led the Ground Transport division at Melbourne Airport, responsible for all frontline staff who ensured the safety and security of every traveller – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
National Protective Services founder and Chief Executive Officer Rachaell Saunders said Gillies brought extensive experience leading people in complex, safety-critical environments.
“Trent has spent more than 20 years responsible for frontline teams in environments where getting it wrong is not an option,” Saunders said. “That operational depth is exactly what we want as NPS grows. What stood out just as much was how he leads. We have built this business around the people who do the work, not simply the contracts we win, and that is how Trent has always operated.”
The appointment comes during a period of growth for National Protective Services, as we invest in our leadership team to meet increasing demand across our protective and electronic security work.
So why did Trent choose NPS?
“”For me the question was why not NPS.” Gillies said. “Plenty of companies in this industry can quote a client a price for a patrol or a camera. What brought me here is simpler than that. This business has never treated its people as a number on a roster. Here you are a person, with a name, working with people who know it. That is rarer than it should be, it is the hardest thing to build and the easiest thing to lose, and in my experience, it is the whole game.”
“Over the coming weeks I’ll be out an about visiting our sites, during day and night operations. This will give me a greater understanding of how we work.
